ERA served as the Structural Engineer of Record and steel connection engineer for the new Target store in Katy, Texas, demonstrating the firm’s expertise in large-scale retail construction and representing one of the 500 facilities built around the country that ERA has designed.

This ground-up project resulted in a 145,000 sf single-level store, featuring dual entries, side-stock storage, and provisions for an adjacent building on the west side. The majority of the store’s perimeter is enclosed by tilt-up concrete wall panels, showcasing ERA’s efficient structural design approach. To address specific site conditions, ERA designed the foundation using belled, drilled concrete shafts, with additional concrete grade beams strategically placed at the entries and zero lot line foundation locations.
