ERA provided comprehensive structural engineering services for the Life Time Beaverton campus, a complex multi-use development that seamlessly integrates fitness, workspace, and parking facilities.

The project comprises a 135,000 sf fitness resort constructed with composite steel and special eccentric braced frames, accommodating fitness and training areas with dedicated cycle, yoga, Pilates and Barre studios, Kids Academy, LifeSpa, LifeCafe, regulation-size basketball courts, indoor aquatic center, and more. Serving the club is a 40,000 sf beach club featuring lap and leisure pools, whirlpools, lounge areas, and a bistro. Adjacent to the fitness center is the 45,000 sf premier workspace, offering modern, flexible office solutions. Supporting these facilities is a 315,000 sf post-tensioned parking garage accommodating 600 vehicles, featuring special reinforced concrete shear walls. The project’s location in a seismically active region presented unique challenges, requiring ERA to implement design strategies and utilize a diverse range of materials. This development exemplifies ERA’s ability to handle complex, multi-use projects that seamlessly integrate wellness and professional needs within a single, cohesive campus setting while addressing seismic performance requirements.
