ERA provided structural engineering services for the renovation and expansion of a high-end residence in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

This ambitious project involved adding a full second story to the existing house, significantly increasing its living space and value. The addition included at least one bedroom, a bathroom, an art studio, and a spacious deck, all designed in a loft style that overlooks the main floor. A key challenge of this project was maintaining an open floor plan while supporting the new upper level. ERA implemented a steel beam system to achieve this without compromising the desired aesthetic. ERA’s expertise in seismic engineering was crucial in developing and implementing the necessary detailing to ensure the home’s safety and resilience in this seismically active region.
