ERA served as the Structural Engineer of Record for The Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire, WI, revitalizing a century-old building into a vibrant brewery and event center.

This major renovation project seamlessly blended preservation with modern functionality, incorporating both extensive renovations and strategic additions. The redesign featured an eye-catching interior suspended stair. Approximately 9,500 sf of the existing building was carefully demolished to accommodate expanded production spaces and a new lobby. A 1,100 sf receiving area was added to improve operational efficiency. The expansion included a 1,000 sf second-floor office and a 1,400 sf rooftop patio, both constructed using precast plank. The existing three-level, 5,600 sf event and tasting space underwent a comprehensive renovation, including the removal of a portion of the existing second floor to create an impressive clear height in the main floor tasting room. This thoughtful renovation has resulted in a multi-functional space that honors the building’s heritage while meeting the modern needs of a craft brewery and event venue. ERA’s structural solutions have enabled The Brewing Projekt to preserve the character of the original building while adapting it for contemporary use, creating a unique destination for craft beer enthusiasts and event-goers alike.
