ERA provided structural engineering services for a new 16,500 sf fire station designed to meet International Green Construction Code standards. The facility combines essential emergency service functions with sustainable design features, including rain gardens, a solar reflective roof, recyclable materials, LED lighting, and radiant heat systems. ERA’s structural solutions supported these environmental initiatives while ensuring the facility meets the demanding requirements of a modern fire station. This project demonstrates ERA’s ability to integrate sustainable building practices with essential public safety infrastructure, resulting in reduced energy and water usage while maintaining optimal operational functionality.
