ERA provided structural engineering services for Life Time Ocotillo, a new 102,000 sf, two-story athletic country club in Gilbert, AZ, serving as both Structural Engineer of Record and Precast Specialty Engineer.

The expanded E2+ prototype features a revised layout with fitness and wellness spaces, four indoor pickleball courts, and extensive outdoor recreation amenities, including 10 pickleball courts and six tennis courts. The precast structural system integrates the building’s gravity and lateral systems while accommodating the large recreation spaces of the expanded prototype. Load-bearing precast concrete wall panels support precast double tees and beams at the second floor and roof, with the exterior walls also serving as the building’s lateral system. Additional structural features include precast stair and elevator shafts, steel-framed entry and canopy elements and post-tensioned concrete slabs supporting the outdoor pickleball and tennis courts.
