ERA has maintained a decades-long partnership with Life Time, providing structural engineering services for a diverse portfolio of projects including corporate offices, millwork facilities, media/events centers, and numerous athletic facilities including tennis and pickleball complexes.

A cornerstone of this relationship is Life Time’s Corporate Campus in Chanhassen, Minnesota. ERA provided structural design for Corporate Office 1, a 105,000 sf, three-story building completed in 2008. This facility houses 700 employees and features six state-of-the-art conference rooms and a dramatic three-story atrium with a “floating” boardroom. The building includes a sophisticated Data Center with redundant power infrastructure and custom cooling distribution, utilizing waste heat to warm the underground parking during winter months. The adjacent Corporate Office 2 project demonstrates ERA’s adaptability in long-term development. Initially, only the below-grade levels were constructed alongside Corporate Office 1 in 2008. These levels were weatherized and preserved until construction resumed in 2018. During the completion of the three above-grade levels, ERA engineered significant structural modifications to accommodate Life Time’s decision to convert ground-level office space to additional parking, requiring strategic column relocations to create efficient drive aisles. This ongoing relationship showcases ERA’s ability to provide innovative structural solutions across a wide range of facility types while adapting to evolving client needs.
