ERA served as both Engineer of Record and precast specialty engineer for Canvas Apartments in Northeast Minneapolis’ Bottineau neighborhood.

This substantial mixed-use development features a 66,500 sf building footprint with a total area exceeding 350,000 sf. The project combines 160 affordable apartment homes with 23,000 sf of versatile production space on the first floor, which features a dramatic two-story clear volume design that maximizes natural light. ERA’s comprehensive engineering services included both structural design and precast specialty engineering for Moline Concrete, ensuring the seamless integration of all building components. Located at 2301 California Street NE, the development’s strategic position in Minneapolis’ cultural hub provides residents with easy access to dining, entertainment, shopping, and outdoor recreation, while maintaining excellent transportation connectivity.
