ERA provided structural engineering services for Life Time Happy Valley, a 125,000 sf, three-story athletic resort in Peoria, AZ.

The facility features a variety of fitness, wellness, and recreation spaces, including indoor and outdoor aquatics, a two-court gymnasium, group fitness studios, and an outdoor pool deck and bistro. The building utilizes a structural steel superstructure with precast concrete exterior wall panels and masonry veneer. The structural framing accommodates large, column-free recreation and aquatic spaces while supporting the multi-story fitness and amenity program above. The second and third floors are framed with composite steel construction, while the roof incorporates steel joists over the gymnasium and composite steel framing throughout the remainder. Additional structural features include CMU stair and elevator shafts, a composite steel-framed equipment mezzanine, steel-framed entry vestibule and trellises, and vibration isolation within select fitness areas.
