ERA provided structural engineering services for Harry & Izzy’s Phoenix, a new, single-story, stand-alone restaurant within the Paradise Valley Mall redevelopment in Phoenix, AZ.

The restaurant marks Harry & Izzy’s first location outside Indiana and includes approximately 8,270 sf of interior space featuring main and flexible dining areas, bar and bar dining, kitchen and back-of-house spaces, and restrooms. The restaurant also features approximately 3,240 sf of partially covered outdoor patio space. The structure consists of steel roof deck on open-web steel joists supported by wide-flange steel beams and steel columns, with perimeter walls utilizing a combination of light-gauge steel framing and CMU. The roof incorporates multiple roof planes and built-up gable trusses to accommodate the restaurant’s architectural design and rooftop mechanical systems.
