ERA provided structural engineering services for a landmark 19,000-seat amphitheater, the largest dedicated concert venue in the state.

The project features a 75′ clear height stage, diverse seating options including fixed seating, VIP boxes, a beer garden, table seating, and a lawn area. The venue’s distinctive design incorporates the state’s largest fabric canopy and 20′ gabion retaining walls. The amphitheater’s innovative foundation utilizes a hill created from 360,000 cubic yards of material mined from the parking lots, later replaced with eco-friendly tire-derived aggregate. This sustainable approach demonstrates ERA’s commitment to environmental responsibility while meeting complex structural challenges. ERA’s comprehensive engineering approach incorporated multiple construction methods, including post-tensioned concrete, precast elements, cast-in-place concrete, composite steel structures, and a joist roof system. This integration of diverse structural solutions showcases ERA’s versatility in designing large-scale entertainment venues that balance performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
