Opening in June 2026 for its first concert, the 19,000-seat Mystic Lake Amphitheater is now Minnesota’s largest outdoor venue.

It provides multiple viewing options, including seating, a sloped lawn, VIP suites, table seating, and a beer garden. Located in Shakopee, MN, near Mystic Lake Casino Hotel and Canterbury Park, the amphitheater enhances the region’s entertainment offerings and strengthens its draw as a destination for major concerts and events.

ERA Structural Engineering served as Structural Engineer of Record and designed the amphitheater’s 330-foot by 160-foot curved steel space truss canopy through a highly coordinated structural design and fabrication approach. Designed for open-air concerts in Minnesota’s variable climate, the structural steel canopy provides weather protection for concertgoers while minimizing view obstructions. The complex canopy design required careful consideration of wind, snow, and temperature loading conditions, along with close coordination between the engineering, fabrication, and construction teams. The project was developed and constructed by Swervo Development Corporation and is co-operated and promoted by Live Nation.
