ERA provided structural engineering services for Providence Academy, a private Catholic college-preparatory school in Plymouth, MN.

The original 120,000 sf three-story building, designed in colonial Georgian style to evoke historic architecture, houses three schools under one roof: lower school (pre-K through fifth grade), middle school (sixth through eighth grade), and upper school (ninth through twelfth grade). The structure takes advantage of the sloping site, featuring two stories with a basement in front and a walkout design in back. The design incorporated brick and precast exterior elements, along with traditional hip and gable roofs to achieve the desired classical aesthetic. The gymnasium, chapel, music rooms, and future pool were integral to the master planning, with the structure engineered to accommodate these planned additions. Since the original construction, ERA has continued to support the school’s growth through multiple building expansions.
