ERA served as both the Structural Engineer of Record and Precast Specialty Engineer for the Midtown Corner affordable housing project, also known as Everlake, located in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis.

This 189-unit development faced an extraordinary challenge when it was severely damaged by fire during the 2020 riots following the death of George Floyd, just as it was nearing completion of its fire suppression system. In a remarkable demonstration of resilience, ERA played a crucial role in the project’s rapid recovery. The original structure was dismantled down to its foundations and rebuilt in less than a year. The successful and rapid rebirth of the Everlake project stands as a testament to the community’s resilience in delivering high-quality, affordable housing solutions even in the face of significant adversity.
